The Mandarins gave a creditable performance to see off Elstead on a fine bank holiday weekend. Elstead fielded a typically youthful and challenging side but, despite some decent pace and tricky spin, our hosts were unable to prevent a well earned Mandarin victory.

Elstead batted first but the Mandarins bowled well to restrict Elstead to a modest 158. In reply, some solid upper order batting ensured that the Mandarins were able to coast home with three wickets to spare.
